David Archuleta is 17 year old celebrity from Salt Lake City. When he first showed up to audition, the seemingly shy David wowed the judges with his great voice and likable demeanor. David Archuleta impressed even more in the Hollywood rounds, showing off maturity beyond his years.

David draws inspiration from his faith and family, and says that his happiest moments are those spent with the ones he loves. He believes that being himself and being passionate about his music has pushed him further into the competition.

When asked what his toughest obstacle in life is, he replied, "Believing that I could really be successful in a singing career."

Despite that, he says that he wouldn't change a thing in his life. He said, "Even the minor things or problems are what influence who I am."

As for his embarrassing moment, he reveals, "I was flown out to Honduras to perform for a charity event dinner, and the night I was supposed to sing I lost my voice. In the middle of the song my voice was gone and my mom came up to finish the song for me."

To avoid these embarrassing moments, David has a pre-performance ritual. He says, "Do some voice exercises and say a prayer."
